The Proper Dosage of Vitamin C/Day
Dr. Linus Pauling, 2-time Nobel Prize awardee, has said that we need at least 2,000 mg/day of vitamin C for optimum health. People who need more than that are the following: smokers, people under medication, people taking pills, pregnant women, breast-feeding women, athletes and body-builders.

The Linus Pauling Institute has the following recommendation:

Dr. Elizabeth Micaller, PhD, ND, NMD from her book, “Capture Perfect Health” suggests that the proper dosage depends on body weight. Her recommendation: 1,000mg per 25 pounds of body weight. Thus, if you weigh 150 pounds, you need 6,000 mg of vitamin C every day!
The body needs CONSTANT REPLENISHMENT of vitamin C throughout the day. 3 capsules every meals is better than 3 or 4 capsules one time.
CONFUSED? TOO MUCH FOR YOU TO ACCEPT? Make it simple. Just take 1 capsule of maxCEEmum vitamin C before or after each meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner.)
Each of us has his/her own need for vitamin C. You know you have reached above your upper limit when you have loose stool (almost like diarrhea but without the pain.) This is called the Bowel Tolerance Threshold. You did not have too much until you reach this stage.
Dr. Linus Pauling along with other famous doctors and scientists believe that we can have a disease-free life if we just have enough vitamin C. (We believe, of course, that proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle, are very important too)
Here is a minimum dosage recommended for some complaints:

NO SIDE EFFECTS; ONLY HEALTH EFFECTS!
For some people, after taking maxCEEmum Non-Acidic Vitamin C (or other effective “supplements”), they experience any of the following symptoms: headaches, fever, colds, skin breakouts, bowel sluggishness, occasional diarrhea, fatigue, weakness and nervousness. Do not panic. It is a temporary and beneficial stage. These are NOT side effects but healing signs called “Nutritional Realignment”. Be glad because your body is cleansing your body of toxins from years of wrong diet, and thus saving you from potentially fatal diseases. (“Capture Perfect Health”, by Dr. Ma. Elizabeth Micaller, PhD, ND, MD, CCII
“The importance of Vitamin C in preventive medicine has no limits. I have not seen a patient that Vitamin C would not benefit. Vitamin C is the safest substance available to physicians”, says, Dr. Frederick Robert Klenner, FCCP, AAFP. There can be no overdose of Vitamin C because it is a water-soluble vitamin. “2,000mg to 10,000mg/day of Vitamin C is what we need for optimal health”, says Dr. Linus Pauling, Nobel Prize-Chemistry.
